✨Đối với gia đình Việt, gian bếp luôn là nơi quan trọng vì ở đó, gia đình quây quần sum họp bên nhau sau một ngày dài làm việc. Vào tối 23 tháng Chạp hàng năm, gia đình Việt sẽ làm cơm tối cúng đưa ông Táo – người coi giữ gian bếp. Người Việt tin rằng vào thời gian trên, ông Táo cưỡi cá chép bay về trời để báo cáo các sự việc của gia chủ trong năm lên Ngọc Hoàng.
